Originally founded as a small sawmill in Fordsburg, Johannesburg, we’ve grown over the decades to become a well-established sawmill, treatment plant, timber manufacturer, and pole yard based in Alrode, Johannesburg. At Mintroad, our expertise lies in wood preservation, proudly making us a member of the South African Wood Preservers Association (SAWPA).
Mintroad has been a trusted name in the timber industry since 1945.
We hold all essential South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) permits, ensuring compliance across all treatment types and hazard classes. Our treatment offerings include CCA, Tanalith E (Tan E), Boron, Flambor, Creosote, and Pacsayf, each tailored to enhance wood durability and longevity.

Our product range covers both treated and untreated wood products, such as gum poles, sawn pine and gum, mining timber, manufactured fences, trellises, picket fences, garden edging rolls, and more.
